Sick video shows pensioner brutally beaten for bumping into ‘hooligan’ passenger on Russian tube

Horrifying video footage has emerged of the moment a pensioner was brutally beaten by a fellow tube passenger after he appeared to bump into him as he got off an underground train. The CCTV video shows passengers waiting as an underground train pulls into the station, before passengers begin to disembark and board the service.

As passengers are still getting off, a man carrying what appears to be a holdall gets on, bumping into an elderly gentleman in the process. The young man turns around and swiftly steps back off the tube, confronting the fellow passenger.

The young man appears to get close to the older gentleman before lunging toward him as other passengers walk by. The pair then appear to become entangled in a brawl, taking swipes at each other.

The young man then puts down his bag as the pair step away from each other before launching another frenzied attack on the man. The old man ends up falling to the floor, attempting to get back up as the young man walks away and picks up his bag.

But as the elderly gentleman is still on his knees getting up, the younger man launches himself at him again. He rushes at the gentleman on the ground before throwing a series of punches aimed at his head as another passenger covers their face in horror.

The older man on the ground curls up into a ball before attempting to get back up as the younger man stamps on his head. The younger man then grabs the gentleman’s coat, dragging him across the floor and stepping back before going in yet again and attempting to kick the man in the head.

The older gentleman appears to have either grabbed hold of, or become caught in, the younger man’s duffle bag. The younger man then grabs hold of the bag and tugs, dragging the man across the floor before the video cuts.

The attack took place at the Michurinsky Prospekt station in the Russian capital of Moscow on Monday. The attack was later reported to police.

Lyudmila Nefedova, spokesperson for the Moscow prosecutor’s office, said: “On the platform of the Michurinsky Prospekt station, a 33-year-old man, using an insignificant reason for a conflict, out of hooligan moves, struck a previously unknown passenger multiple times with his feet and hands on various parts of the body. The victim sought medical help.”

Authorities have launched an investigation into the attack. It is unclear whether the attacker has been identified or arrested as of yet.
