Marks and Spencer is becoming quite the celebrity destination when it comes to fashion, from the likes of Cat Deeley, Holly Willoughby, Vicky McClure and more being vocal supporters of the high street retailer. And now, the chain has recruited Alison Hammond and Susanna Reid as fans, with the daytime TV pair both sporting the same stylish blouse in recent weeks.
Yesterday for an episode of This Morning, Alison Hammond stepped out wearing the Silk Blend Tie Neck Button Through Blouse from the retailer’s elevated Autograph collection. The range comprises of ‘premium investment pieces featuring contemporary cuts and refined finishing touches’.
Available in ivory and tomato, the 50-year-old donned the vibrant red version of the top, which comes in sizes 6-24. Priced at £69 , the silk-blend blouse is described by the store as ‘a luxurious option for smart occasions’.

Designed in a regular fit with a button-through front, it has a pretty tie-neck detail with long sleeves that are gathered at the cuffs for a voluminous look. Styled by Rachael Hughes, Alison paired her top with an on-trend indigo denim midi skirt for a chic look.
A few weeks ago, Susanna Reid also wore the M&S number to present Good Morning Britain. She teamed the eye-catching blouse with some simple Boden tailored trousers, which fans hailed as ‘smart’. One viewer commented: “Absolutely love your outfit Suzanne”, while a second penned: “As always the smartest person on the tv.”
Pussybow details were huge in the 60s thanks to designers like Coco Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent. And today, they continue to make a bold statement. At Monsoon, this Rosa Organza Pussybow Blouse comes in at £35 , half price down from £70, while the Hobbs Ruby Blouse, with similar tie-neck detailing, is £79, down from £99.
On the M&S website, one shopper said of the Autograph blouse: “Fab colour and design. 1* lost because it gapes at bust (tie hides it).” Another added: “The red version of this blouse caught my eye and I had to buy it!
“The colour is great but it creases quite badly, but nothing a good iron can’t sort out. It’s so versatile that I can wear it with jeans during the day, or with black velvet trousers in the evening.” For those who love the blouse but aren’t a fan of ironing, the fact it creases is a negative to be aware of.
“Adapts well to a v neck with lower tie if you have a larger bust,” wrote a third. “I didn’t find it see through, wear a nude bra. Really great colour. Very generous fit, I had to return and will try 1 and 2 sizes down for the nearer fit I prefer.”
I love how Alison and Susanna styled the same blouse in two totally different, but equally as gorgeous ways, showing how it suits women of all sizes. Both women are in their 50s but I think it’s a really timeless and classic design that would suit shoppers of any age, with endless styling opportunities from polished workwear, to a more relaxed but elegant vibe with jeans.
