The main highway connecting Tel Aviv and Jerusalem is adorned with both American and Israeli flags, while in central Tel Aviv, an electronic billboard draws parallels between Trump and Cyrus the Great, a figure from biblical history credited with liberating the Jews. At the square, another sign likened Trump to Oskar Schindler, who saved Jewish lives during World War II.
Rami Lador, holding an American flag in Tel Aviv, appreciates Trump’s resolute approach, particularly his warnings to Hamas regarding the hostages. Despite opposition from some far-right Israeli politicians, Trump’s pressure ultimately led to Netanyahu agreeing to the ceasefire deal.
Trump’s special envoy, Steven Wikoff, played a crucial role in laying the groundwork for the negotiations. While Trump garners praise for the diplomatic breakthrough, Netanyahu faces criticism from hostage families and Israelis for not securing their release earlier and perpetuating the conflict with Hamas.
