The Seattle Kraken showed support for the city’s baseball team by donning Seattle Mariners jerseys at Scotiabank Arena before Game 6 of the American League Championship Series (ALCS) against the Blue Jays.
Taking the trolling to social media, the Kraken posted messages like “walk in the 6ix, takeover the 6ix” and “SEATTLE OVER EVERYBODY.” The team’s Twitter post emphasized their support for Seattle above all.
Following their wardrobe choice, the Kraken triumphed over the Maple Leafs with a 4-3 victory on the ice. With a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series, the Mariners secured a 6-2 win in Game 5 against the Blue Jays on Friday.
The Blue Jays will meet Seattle once more on Sunday night at Rogers Centre for a crucial Game 6 matchup.
