“Florida Woman Charged with Shooting at Rihanna’s Home”

Must read

A woman from Florida has been formally charged with attempted murder and multiple other felonies for allegedly firing gunshots at Rihanna’s residence in Los Angeles. The incident occurred on Sunday outside the singer’s home in Beverly Hills. The accused, Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 35, faces charges that include assault with a semi-automatic firearm and shooting at an inhabited building or vehicle.

According to District Attorney Nathan Hochman, Rihanna, her partner A$AP Rocky, their three children, and Rihanna’s mother were present on the property during the shooting. No injuries were reported. Ortiz appeared in the Superior Court of Los Angeles County before Judge Theresa McGonigle, where she faced 14 felony charges in total.

Ortiz’s attorney initially entered a not guilty plea on her behalf but later opted to postpone the arraignment to March 25. She is being held on $1.8 million US bail and has been ordered to stay away from Rihanna, A$AP Rocky, and their residence. Additionally, Ortiz is prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition.

Los Angeles police Chief Jim McDonnell disclosed that 10 individuals were inside Rihanna’s home when the gunshots were fired. Investigators believe Ortiz traveled from Florida to the area, although the exact timeline remains unclear. Public records indicate that Ortiz, a licensed speech pathologist, previously resided in Orlando.

Ortiz was apprehended following the shooting, and authorities recovered a weapon. There is currently no information linking her to Rihanna. Requests for comments from Rihanna’s representatives and Ortiz’s lawyer were unanswered. Visual evidence revealed bullet holes in Rihanna’s property gate, with police dispatch audio confirming 10 shots were discharged.

Rihanna, a renowned musician with numerous accolades, including nine Grammy Awards and multiple chart-topping hits, co-parents a third child named Rocki Irish Mayers with A$AP Rocky, announced in September 2025.
