The rise in popularity of non-English music artists, such as Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny and Korean groups like BLACKPINK and BTS, further underscores the global appeal of diverse music genres.
The surge in streaming numbers for Punjabi music is translating into robust ticket sales for Dosanjh and Aujla’s tours. Aujla consistently ranks among Canada’s top three most popular artists on YouTube, while Dosanjh’s channel has exceeded five billion views, surpassing some mainstream Canadian acts.
