Must read

The Rolling Stones have confirmed the upcoming release of their latest album, “Foreign Tongues,” on July 10. Alongside this announcement, the band also unveiled a new single titled “In The Stars.”

To mark the occasion, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood will be present at an album reveal event in Brooklyn later today.

The band’s previous album, “Hackney Diamonds,” was released in 2023, marking their first collection of original songs in 18 years since “A Bigger Bang” in 2005. Notably, “Hackney Diamonds” was the first full-length album following the passing of drummer Charlie Watts in 2021, with Watts featuring posthumously on two tracks.

“Foreign Tongues” is set to feature a special recording session contribution from Watts before his passing, as well as collaborations with Steve Winwood, Paul McCartney, Robert Smith from The Cure, and Chad Smith from the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Mick Jagger expressed his enthusiasm for the recording process at Metropolis in London, highlighting the intense and passionate atmosphere during the creation of “Foreign Tongues.”

The Rolling Stones collaborated with renowned pop producer Andrew Watt, who previously worked with artists like Post Malone and Justin Bieber, on “Hackney Diamonds,” and this partnership continues for “Foreign Tongues.”

Fans had been speculating about a new album from The Rolling Stones for weeks, with hints such as posters in London under the alias “The Cockroaches,” leading to a vinyl-only release of the track “Rough and Twisted” as a teaser for “Foreign Tongues.”

The band further teased the album with billboards featuring the title in different languages around the world and updated their website with surveillance-style video clips from the studio. Additionally, a slide puzzle graphic believed to be the album cover was shared, along with a brief video snippet hinting at a new song.

The anticipation for “Foreign Tongues” continues to build as fans eagerly await its official release on July 10.
