Jelly Roll Files for Divorce from Wife Bunnie Xo

Must read

American rapper and singer Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, has officially filed for divorce from his wife, Bunnie Xo, also known as Alisa DeFord. The couple tied the knot in 2016 but have decided to part ways due to “irreconcilable differences,” as per records from Williamson County, Tennessee court.

Jelly Roll, aged 41, is recognized for his popular country rock tracks such as “Son of a Sinner” and “Need a Favor.” The divorce filing was made on May 18, with the couple having no children together, although Jelly Roll has two children from previous relationships.

Bunnie Xo, aged 46, is the host of the “Dumb Blonde Podcast” and operates a production company named Dumb Blonde Productions. She also recently released a memoir titled “Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic,” chronicling her journey from Vegas trailer parks to Nashville mansions.

Before achieving success in the country rock genre, Jelly Roll faced a challenging past, including a robbery conviction at 17 and drug-related charges at 23. His passion for music blossomed during his time behind bars. Tennessee Governor Bill Lee granted Jelly Roll a pardon last year, following a recommendation from the state’s parole board, acknowledging his transformation.

At the 2026 Grammy Awards, where Jelly Roll won the best contemporary country album award for “Beautifully Broken,” he credited his wife for supporting him through his recovery from past drug addiction. The rapper expressed gratitude, stating that without her, he might have faced a grim fate.

While both Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo have not made any public statements regarding their divorce, Jelly Roll has been sharing his weight loss journey on social media. In contrast, Bunnie Xo posted a video lip-syncing to Nickelback’s “How You Remind Me” in her recent online activity.
