“Panasonic Toaster Oven Recall: Electric Shock Risk”

Must read

A safety recall has been initiated for Panasonic Flashxpress Toaster Ovens distributed in the United States and Canada due to a potential electric shock risk. The affected models are NB-G205S and NB-G200SVA, identifiable by their model numbers located on the back label of the toaster oven. The issue pertains to the power cord of the toaster oven, where inadequate insulation could expose users to the risk of electric shock or fire.

Panasonic, in collaboration with Health Canada and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, has advised consumers to cease using the impacted toaster ovens immediately and return them to Panasonic for a full refund. For further details, consumers are encouraged to visit Panasonic’s recall website or contact Panasonic Canada at 1-888-422-6296.

According to Panasonic, approximately 2,184 units of the affected products were sold in Canada and around 11,500 in the U.S. from November 2025 to March 2026. As of June 15, Health Canada has not received any injury reports linked to the power cord issue in Canada. In the U.S., Panasonic has received five reports of circuit breakers tripping due to the toaster ovens but no injuries have been reported.
