Bell Media has secured a deal with Disney Entertainment to broadcast the Québécois French version of “The Simpsons,” ensuring the continuation of the series. The upcoming season 36 of “Les Simpson” will be shown on Bell Media’s Noovo television channel and will also be available for streaming on Crave in the fall. Previously, fans were upset when Corus Entertainment, a competitor of Bell, chose not to renew the broadcasting rights, forcing French-speaking viewers to watch new episodes in European French.
Following a successful online petition with thousands of signatures, the Québécois dubbing, which has incorporated local references, politicians, current events, and popular phrases for 35 seasons, has been preserved. In a social media video released by Noovo, Bart and Lisa Simpson delightfully announce the return of the beloved Québécois French voices to local audiences. The Québécois versions of the show are typically one season behind the American release, with the American version currently airing its 37th season since September. Fans can enjoy seasons one to 35 of “The Simpsons” in Québécois French on Disney+ for streaming.
