Drake Plans Exclusive Event to Apologize to Fans Named Janice
Fans named Janice feeling offended by Drake’s song “Janice STFU” are in for a surprise as the Toronto rapper is hosting a special apology event exclusively for Janices who can provide valid ID.
In an Instagram post, Drake announced his intention to make amends with Janices in various cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Toronto, and Houston. Physical invitations have been sent to Janices in Toronto as part of a formal apology initiative.
Individuals named Janice who have not received an invitation but can verify their legal first name can still RSVP by emailing JSTFU@DRAKERELATED.COM. The event requires attendees to present government-issued photo identification confirming their legal first name as Janice, excluding nicknames or other names.
The song “Janice STFU” is a track from Drake’s album “ICEMAN,” which debuted at No. 1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. This achievement marks Drake’s 14th chart-topping hit, surpassing Michael Jackson’s record for the most No. 1 hits by a male solo artist.
Drake’s triple-album release, featuring “ICEMAN,” “Habibti,” and “Maid of Honour,” saw immense success with 42 songs charting on the Hot 100. The exclusive Toronto event for Janices is scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 28, from 1-4 p.m. ET at the Cactus Club on Adelaide St.
